Sustainability has taught us to reduce harm: cut emissions, use fewer resources and limit damage to nature. That work remains essential. But what happens when we ask a bigger question of business: Does this create more life?

That question is at the heart of Loud Summer, a new Swedish anthology inspired by Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring. Around 30 writers and thinkers from science, business, art and media explore what a world richer in life could look like.

Now we’re taking Loud Summer into a business context. Together, in this digital Round Table, we’ll explore how the ambition to create more life could shape strategy, inspire new business models and change how we measure progress. The book is in Swedish. but the conversation will be in English (to enable a broader representation of participants).

During the session we’ll introduce Loud Summer and share a few short readings, followed by a conversation in smaller groups, we’ll reflect on what “more life” could mean for business; in leadership, management, strategy, innovation, circularity, etc. We won’t arrive with a finished framework, but rather new perspectives and questions, we will work with together. This is an interactive session, so please join ready to take part, share your perspective and listen to others.
